New Firm to Provide Computer Investigation Solutions

Cyber Security Technologies to Provide "live investigation" products for corporations, government agencies, and law enforcement.

Eden Prairie, MN, January 19, 2005 - A new privately held company, Cyber Security Technologies Corporation (CST), is introducing its OnLine Digital Forensic SuiteTM (OnLineDFSTM) Release 2.0, which enables network-based, real-time investigations of live, running computer systems. Cyber Security Technologies has been established to provide powerful, next-generation tools for real-time investigation of computer systems.

"Cyber Security Technologies will provide innovative solutions for IT security, incident response, E-Discovery and compliance applications," said John Metil, founder and president of the firm. "Our customers will include companies, civilian government agencies and law enforcement, as well as service providers to these organizations."

According to the Gartner Group, U.S. organizations spend over $20 billion today on IT security to ward off a range of issues from malicious insider behavior to breaches of security from the outside. Even so, many incidents do occur and the existing processes for determining the extent of the problem and responding in a timely manner do not meet the needs of corporate and government enterprises.

OnLineDFS is designed specifically to fit the requirements of IT security professionals to make a rapid, forensically sound determination of whether a security incident exists in a computer or network. As needed, OnLineDFS then enables the user to respond quickly to mitigate problems and take appropriate follow-up action.

The innovative technology at the heart of OnLineDFS was developed by Architecture Technology Corporation, a CST affiliate. Dr. Kenneth J. Thurber, Architecture Technology's president, stated: "We are pleased to see the advanced technology developed originally for the U.S. Air Force become more widely available as a generally released and fully supported product."

Metil was previously president and chief operating officer of Twin Cities based Digital Biometrics, Inc., a leading provider of biometric security products. He also was the founding CFO of Plymouth-based Tricord Systems, Inc., an innovative provider of enterprise-class server systems.

Cyber Security Technologies is headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. It is an affiliate of Architecture Technology Corporation, an established advanced technology company which provides software-intensive solutions for complex problems to the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Transportation.
